TREATMENTS
Acupuncture can be a helpful treatment option for a wide variety of conditions.
Most of our acupuncture consultations are for musculoskeletal pain.
Analysis of Adrian Lyster's NHS Acupuncture Pain Service over 30 years, including 12,500 patients referred by GPs, shows that the most common referrals were for headache, migraine, back and hip pain, neck and shoulder pain, fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). A study conducted by the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group in 2013 identified significant reductions in medication taken for pain, reduced need for GP consultations and a high degree of patient and GP satisfaction.
We've listed more information below on the conditions we treat and evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of acupuncture.
